Super Fresh

Now that I'm back in the Land Of The Long White Cloud (look it up if you don't know what I'm talking about), I find my fashion persuasions rushing quickly back to local labels.

As well as established favourites, it's super exciting when something new and wonderful comes along, and this month we're blessed with a deliciously crisp, fresh, feminine and modern collection in the form of the first release of Georgia Currie's brand Georgia Alice.

Art By Garance

One of the most delightful parts of Garance Doré's blog (and there are many) are her illustrations.

Before becoming a blogger Garance was an illustrator, and has collaborated with brands such as Dior, Louis Vuitton, Céline, Chloé, Tiffany & Co. and Reed Krakoff as well as a special illustrated cover for Elle UK, and her illustrations appear every month in her très cool Paris Vogue column.

Stella Scents

As we rocket towards the exciting gift-giving days that are my birthday (11th December, presents and accolades totally welcome) and Christmas, I'm taking care not to fill the blog with even more wants and desires than I usually do, but here's one I think we can all enjoy.

Lovely New Things

Haven't done one of these posts in a while, lovely new things have thinned out lately as we try to save money for the move to our lovely new house, and for Christmas and travel in the new year.

One should never scrimp on new magazines though, and I couldn't wait a moment longer for sunglasses shaped like cat's ears…

Shine Bright Like A Diamond

Really, there's nothing more exquisite or effortlessly breathtaking than diamonds.

A girl's best friend, according to Marilyn Monroe. And our lovely local fashion design hero Karen Walker agrees, having just released a particularly decadent but thoughtful, beautifully refined and personal collection of diamond-studded rings

Once you pick your diamond carat and cut and precious metal of choice (yellow or white gold, palladium or platinum) there are more than 30 variations on the rings.

Just Cos

I've just placed an order with my wonderful sister in London for a fresh summer fix of t-shirts - all from cool Swedish brand COS.

I wear white tees almost on the daily and I can tell you that nothing beats COS for those, but they also do, across the board, perfectly cut, smartly designed and great quality tops. And jackets, skirts, pants, dresses, shoes, bags, jewellery...

Blog Life

Took the ferry over to Waiheke Island last week with the Glassons girls (and guy) for a special bloggers lunch at the brand new ultra white Oyster Inn. We were the very first people to eat in their private dining room The Pearl. Plenty of sun and sea breezes, plus seafood, chardonnay, gelato and goodie bags. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon.

On another entirely different Glasson's note, one of the things that has made me crazy busy over the last few weeks was helping produce a summer print magazine for them. It's at the printers now and I'll show you more when I've got a copy, but it's looking pretty great if I do say so myself, and there are interviews with heaps of cool girls like Grimes, Dee Dee from Dum Dum Girls, The Veronicas, Ruby Frost, artist Sarah Larnach, blogger Jessie Bush and stylist Zara Mirkin, plus a whole lot of summer/festival/holiday-related treats.

On a completely random note, Facebook just friend-suggested Erin Wasson. Is a bit sad to feel ever so slightly thrilled about that, but I do.

Looks I Like

Looks I like this week include:

Oversized shirts and tees with super skinny black pants.

A messy half ponytail.

Showing a little bit of ankle.

Out with buttoned-up-to-the-neck shirts, in with unbuttoned-as-low-as-permissible-and-elegantly-slouched shirts. Also good for showing off delicate jewellery.

Black Beauty

Agreed.

Hope you're having bother-free weekends in black.

Jewels By Friends

I have some very talented friends, and two of them just created some very special jewellery so I thought I'd better show it off a little.

Sydney-based Lucy Burke studied jewellery-making for fun but soon realised she had a bit of a passion for it, so went into business as Cry Wolf.

Caradise City

Can't get enough of Cara D, and clearly I'm not the only one.

These junk food-advocating shots are by photographer Matt Irwin, who tracked Miss Delevingne through London and Paris for Style.com.
