& Other Stories
H&M, one of the world's most recognised high street brands, have confirmed they will be launching their new luxury brand '& Other Stories' for Spring 2013.
Designed at their ateliers in Paris and Stockholm, the new brand's ethos is based around the idea that accessories and beauty products are just as essential to a look as clothing.

Santa Baby #6
Santa Baby #6 is threefold. Chain necklaces. I'm currently having a moment with them, as they strike that balance between edgy and elegant so well, and these are my favourites - all by New Zealand designers.
On the left is a Moochi number with big glossy pearls, in the middle is an exquisite pure white design from Juliette Hogan (check out her new fashion film here) and on the right is a searing neon-woven piece from Saben (they come in a whole rainbow of stunning colours, btw).
I would love all three.

Twenty Seven Names Made You Look
Since I've finally figured out how to embed videos (yes, not that hard, whatever) I thought I'd treat you to the Twenty Seven Names fash film for their cute/cool summer collection 'I Thought You'd Never Ask'. So good.
Also make sure you read the interview I did with Anjali and Rachel here.

Juliette Hogan's Yacht Rockers
One of our most lovely designers and labels is Juliette Hogan, and she has just released this stunningly dreamy, summery film for her current collection.
I'm a little bit in love with every single piece of clothing in it, and the model, and the weather, the bike and the sea…

Polka Dots & Cat Cameos
Two
tiny doll-like girls, one an elfin blonde, the other with a shiny
dark bob nearly covering a pair of very big brown eyes. They giggle a
lot, but you should take them seriously, as they're the design duo
behind cult fashion label twenty-seven names.
Created
in 2006 by Rachel Easting and Anjali Stewart and based in Wellington,
New Zealand, each twenty-seven names collection is a little like a
mixed box of Ladurée
macarons - some classic, some fresh, some delightfully different, but
all sweet and all addictive.

Genesis
I haven't posted for a little bit, it's been a busy week moving out of one lovely house and into another, a birthday, a visiting mother, work, play etc, but thought I'd better check in quickly and show you this sweet and crazy little interview I did with the magical Grimes, who is playing in Auckland tomorrow night and who I am very much looking forward to hearing again…

Summer Kicks
I don't know about you but where I grew up, Commandos were what one wore to look fresh on the streets.
The lovely Miss Kathryn Wilson has brought back these casual canvas beauties for another stylish season, pepped up with chic polka dots in pink, black or yellow.
Possibly the nicest part though is that nearly half the price tag goes to the much deserving Ronald McDonald House.
An all-round sweet start to a feel-good summer.

Guiding Light
I know I said I was trying to resist lists of wants and must-haves leading up to my birthday and Christmas, and I am, mostly, but La Garconne's 'Guiding Light' shoot, touted as 'A Gentlewoman's Holiday Possessions', is worth studying.
Though I'm totally out of synch with winter clothes, and all those heavy fabrics and sombre hues seem all kinds of wrong right now, it's still a delight to turn the virtual pages and have a little dream.
